映画祭ハイライト
Highlights of the festival and the pre-festival event
プレイベントとして行われた 沖縄県、OCVB沖縄フィルムオフィス主催の沖縄ロケ映画上映キャラバン『ゴジラ対メカゴジラ』の無料上映は、親子連れも多くおとずれ満員御礼となり、同日開催の造形プロデューサー西村喜廣（にしむらよしひろ）氏のトークセミナーも好評を得ました。
The pre-festival event, a free screening of Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, a sci-fi film set in Okinawa, was organised by Okinawa Prefecture and OCVB Okinawa Film Office. The screening met a full house of audience and it was followed by a talk session of the special-effects producer Yoshihiro Nishimura.
沖縄で撮影された映画を紹介する同上映キャラバンは翌日２３日夕方にも短編映画特集「オキナワン★ショート」として野外上映を開催、那覇国際高校映画研究部の全国入賞作品２作品や、仲宗根浩・又吉浩共同監督のパペットアニメーション『ニライカナイファイル』、またOCVB映像コンペ支援作品よりKIFFOにちなんで「親子とこども」にテーマを絞った３作『やぎの散歩』『ニービチの条件』『うんじゅぬ花道』が上映され、全作品の監督・制作スタッフが登壇し、制作エピソードなどを披露する貴重な場となりました。
Then, in the evening of the 23rd, several short films were shown in an open-air screening programme to showcase the diversity of films shot in Okinawa. The Okinawan shorts on the programme included two winners of national awards by students of the film club of Naha International High School, the clay animation Nirai Kanai Files by Hiroshi Nakasone and Hiroshi Matayoshi, and three family-themed films produced by OCVB: Goat Walking, Mother of the Groom and The Path of KUMIODORI. The directors and production crew members of all films came to the stage and shared with us fascinating anecdotes from the set.
